The Code — Eight Principles:

I. Courtesy is Absolute Every guest. Every interaction. Every moment of every evening. Rudeness, aggression, or unkindness of any kind results in immediate removal and a permanent ban. Our community is warm because we protect it fiercely — and we will continue to do so without hesitation.

II. Consent is Everything Seek it clearly. Honour it completely. Read the room at all times — body language speaks as loudly as words, and sometimes louder. If someone hesitates, steps back, or says no in any form whatsoever, that is the final word. No discussion. No exceptions.

III. Dress the Part Our themed events are fully immersive experiences — and your costume is your first act of generosity toward every other person in the room. Guests who do not meet the dress code will be declined entry. We mean this kindly but we mean it completely.

IV. Absolute Discretion — Phones Away What happens at Monkey Business belongs only to those who were there. Phones and all photography devices are placed securely in our lockboxes for the duration of every event. This rule is non-negotiable — and it is how we protect every single person in the room, including you.

V. Kindness Over Everything Gossip ends memberships. Bullying ends memberships. We have built something genuinely rare here and we will not allow it to be diminished by negativity of any kind. Treat every person in this room the way you would want to be treated — with warmth, respect, and the understanding that everybody here is equally brave for showing up.

VI. Arrive Together. Leave Together. If you came as a couple or a group, you leave together. This is a safety measure and a courtesy to your partner. It is also simply the right thing to do. No exceptions.

VII. Zero Tolerance on Substances No drugs. No exceptions. No second chances. This policy keeps our community safe, our venues available, and our reputation — built across years of extraordinary events — completely intact. Anyone found in breach is permanently removed from the Monkey Business community.

VIII. Safe Sex. Always. We actively promote and provide for safe sex at every event we host. This is not a footnote or an afterthought — it is a cornerstone of who we are and what we stand for. Non-negotiable. Celebrated. Absolute.
